Debenhams new Lightweight Bra – a second skin!

July 3rd, 2011

Debenhams have recently launched their lightest ever bra – weighing just 48g. This t-shirt bra is designed to fit like a second skin, and after test driving the bra for a few days I can confirm that this is the most comfortable  bra ever!

Always looking for ways to make women feel more comfortable and confident, the team at Debenhams developed the bra to give a barely there feel, whilst the light weight foam cup gives a smooth and round shape. The straps are slim and silky, ensuring that they feel really comfortable when you are wearing it, whilst the bra itself is seam free, so you have no unsightly bumps under your clothing.

Having a big bust – I often find bras to be extremely bulky, even t-shirt bras, and could never say that I am able to forget that I am wearing one.In summer this is even worse, when you already feel hot, a bulky bra can just add to your woes by rubbing and itching you under your bustline. So I was really interested, and just a bit sceptical when I was asked to try this bra out.

But pleasantly surprised doesn’t sum it up, this bra is amazing. It feels silky and luxurious against your skin, and it definitely feels so much lighter than my usual t-shirt bras. The padding is not excessive, so it really is invisible under quite thin tops and t-shirts. The straps and the hook and eye fastenings didn’t dig into my skin, which I have found to be a problem lately. I wore the bra on a very busy day, with a morning at a play centre chasing my two-year old around, and an afternoon train trip to London, followed by a really long tube ride. The bra was so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it.

This bra fitted properly and comfortably, with no lumps and bumps. I wore the nude version, but am now definitely going to get it in black and white.

Debenhams Head of Lingerie Buying and Design, Sharon Webb commented: “Many women find that the search for a bra that fits, flatters, is comfortable and functional is as hard as finding the right man! Thank goodness then that Debenhams have heard the call for a lightweight bra that we can just forget about!
