Debenham’s take on the Royal wedding dress- Be prepared to be surprised.

Last week I bought you the pictures of Debenhams version of the Pippa Middleton bridesmaid dress that is due to go on sale in the Autumn. Well, Debenhams have also produced a version of the dress worn by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge …in BLACK!

The beautiful Sarah Burton dress that Kate wore was a stunning full length Ivory design. It was stunning, and has been much admired. But Debenhams have cleverly taken all the elements that we loved about Kate’s dress and have produced a gorgeous midi length prom style dress that would be fabulous for all manner of special occasions.

The beautiful lace detail, the corset style bodice, and the full skirt design are all instantly recognisable, but with the prom skirt length this has a more wearable edge that should appeal to many fashionista’s and Kate fans. I love this beautiful dress. For some reason it reminds me of the black lace dress worn by the Princess of Wales to  meet Pope John Paul 2 in the 1980s – it has the same gothic glamorous feel.

The Debenhams dress is bound to be another Middleton linked sell out. Russell Fish, Head of Occcassionwear Design at Debenhams commented: “Like everyone we were glued to our tellies for the wedding and have been huge Kate and Pippa fans ever since. We taken the best of the dresses and added our designer twist. Now you can get the Middletons’ look at High Street prices.”
