Harvey Nichols Birmingham is getting set for Christmas

November 23rd, 2011

Christmas is almost upon us, and the party season is all set to swing, so getting that skin perfect and your festive make-up sorted should now be a priority. So let Harvey Nichols give you a helping hand in this department with an evening of skincare and beauty advice. Join Harvey Nichols Birmingham on Thursday 1st December as it celebrates The Stylist Magazine 2011 Skincare Awards. The luxury Mailbox store will host an evening of pampering and beauty advice, giving customers the chance discover the latest tips, trends and tricks from the professionals

Staged from 6.30pm-9pm, there will be complimentary mini treatments from top brands Benefit, Stila, Sue Devitt, Trish McEvoy, MAC, Creme de la Mer, Elemis and Space.NK, and guests can pick up advice with master classes and tutorials from the experts.

This year’s Stylist Awards looked at hundreds of skincare products before readers voted to whittle down the list to the ultimate beauty must-haves. Winners included Fake Bake, St Tropez and Soap & Glory – all available at Harvey Nichols. Tickets for the evening cost £10, which is redeemable against purchases made on the night. Shoppers will also receive a goody bag (whilst stocks last). Tickets are available in store, by calling 0121 616 6000 or online at www.harveynichols.com

This is a must attend event, which will also give you an opportunity to check out the fabulous Christmas windows, with this years theme capturing the idea of an ice workshop where handcrafted props have been frozen in production. The displays are both magical and mystical and are well worth seeing. Head of Visual Display for Harvey Nichols, Janet Wardley explains  “The idea started following a trip to our workshop after the team there had been sculpting with polystyrene. It looked as if it had been magically snowing inside with the workshop frozen in time. The overall effect was a contemporary setting and it felt like a very novel approach to portraying Christmas.”
