Best dressed 2012 – Jessie J,Caro Emerald and Imelda May light up Hootenanny

January 1st, 2012

What a super stylish Hootenanny! The bar was set high for 2012 fashionista’s by the musical ladies who ushered in the New Year for us with a blend of vintage style and great live music. Jessie J, Caro Emerald and Imelda May showed their fashion diversity with iconic looks that I just couldn’t wait to blog about.

Jessie J got the ball rolling with a dress that I can only describe as Great Gatsby-esque. A Fringed baby pink gown teamed with that now iconic chic bobbed hairstyle, it was as if Louise Brooks had been reborn, and set Twitter ablaze. Frankly, she has never looked better.

Caro Emerald opted for a black leather ensemble for her curves.  An a-line leather skirt and bustier style top, was teamed with a boxy, collarless jacket. This was a sultry look, accentuated with red lips and her trademark black beret.

And then there was Imelda May in a white fringed dress that made her look like a rockabilly Gilda Grey. Teamed with eye-catching two-tone shoes and a cheeky skull necklace, she looked the epitome of cool,  leading my husband to say, ‘she is so beautiful, just so sexy.’
