I adore Nicole Richie. She is just such a style icon, it is really hard to believe this poised, groomed, glamorous was once the punky sidekick of Paris Hilton.
In recent years Nicole has had real success with her fashion and jewellery collections ‘House of Harlow 1960’ and ‘Winter Kate’, but I must admit that until very recently, I didn’t realise that her House of Harlow collection also incorparated a rather fetching selection of shoes. But a recent trawl around my favourite shoe site Spartoo enlightened me to this fact. (I was on the trawl for a pair of Westwood Melissa’s, but that’s another story for another day…)
House of Harlow 1960 shoes have a real vintage treasure theme to them. They are also the perfect shoes for your summer wardrobe. My absolute favourites are the Nancy heeled sandals with the sexy hint of snakeskin, I love the idea of these with a pencil skirt for a luxurious look. The gold Casmine sandals are the perfect holiday purchase, they have a gorgeous gladatorial edge, and again, just a hint of the snake!
I love the glamour of the Nadya slingback stilletoe. The scaly feel to it adds just a hint of the jungle, and whilst the heel is high, the platform means it will be much more comfortable than a simple stilletoe.
The Pat ultra wedges are not for the faint hearted, but will be perfect for this seasons trend of flared jeans. The cork wedge gives the shoe that perfect 70s vibe, and the neutral beige shade means that it will be a perfect match for any colour combination you choose to wear.
