Clarks and Liberty Art Fabrics – A match of two British Classics

April 19th, 2012

It is always interesting when two classic brands collaborate on a special collection. This season I am very excited about the collaboration between High Street shoe giant Clarks and that most classic of English brands, Liberty Arts Fabric.  This is a gorgeous limited edition collection featuring one of the Liberty vintage, floral designs, this one from an archival design from 1966.

The legendary Liberty prints have been an icon of style since the 19th century, when they were at the forefront of the fledging Art Nouveau movement.  For the Clarks collection, the print has been updated by another British style classic, designer Zandra Rhodes, using bright blue and elegant white to make the Oriental style, lotus flower print, really stand out.

I just love this collection. It is so fresh and vibrant, making it perfect for summer and features a range of women’s shoes and bags including sports styles and Clarks Originals, so there really is something for everyone. This collection feels like a new chapter in the story of two great British Brands.
