Next Paralympics GB scarf – How do you style yours?

“Ice in your mind, fire in your belly”
This hand painted Lion is a visual reflection of a quote that describes the sheer courage, talent and determination of our Great British Athletes. If you look closely you’ll also find 60 HANDS to symbolise the athletes’ sixty million supporters and the map of Great Britain.

I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful, printed scarf through the post recently. Sent by one of my favourite stores, Next, this was the Official Paralympics GB scarf, being sold to raise valuable funds for the British Olympic Association.

The scarf is both delicate,  and beautifully designed with a British Lion at its heart.  The design symbolises both the strength of the GB team through the Lion, and the supporters, through the tiny hands. It is a great iconic piece, and sure to be seen everywhere come the Summer time, when the final countdown begins.

But how would you style yours? Well, I personally love the idea of tying the Olympic scarf into what promises to be a super patriotic summer by teaming it with red, white and blue. The scarf can be tied jauntily around the neck and so will make a great addition to this dress with its cute, almost nautical stripes.

With the red and white of the dress, you just need to add the blue to complete your Union jack outfit. These espadrille wedges are just right, cool, and yet casual enough for every day wear. Add an on-trend satchel from the Fly London to complete the look. You could actually tie your scarf around the handle of  the satchel to create a different look.

I would love to know how you would style your scarf, which is also available in a larger size for £10.  One thing is for sure, whether tied around your wrist, used as a ribbon for your ponytail, or attached to your bag, this scarf is a wonderful addition to your summer wardrobe, one that will also help to make this a real summer to remember. And, with all profits from the sale being donated to the British Olympic Association, this makes this a real guilt free purchase.
