It’s Friday, which means it is time for a shopping post, so I’m going to start with something suitably tropical for the gorgeous weather we are enjoying at the moment. Today’s first shopping focus is…sandals. Yes, sandals are most definitely the thing to be wearing on your feet at the moment, anything else is just tempting that dreaded sweaty foot into making an unwanted appearance. But sandals can be an issue, hot feet often swell, making strappy sandals to become objects of torture, whilst some sandals don’t offer the support your feet need.
That’s why I personally love Clarks sandals. They offer fashion and style, but in comfortable leather, and in those half sizes that are perfect if you suffer from swelling feet. I have a wardrobe full of Clarks sandals that I have had for years, they do seem to last forever, and the classic designs can be pulled out year after year.
Here are some key styles that I really like.
I love a great pair of gladiator sandals, and these are even better because they have a slight wedge heel.
A cute name, great colour combination (I’m so loving tuquoise at the moment) and a really supportive ankle strap makes the Surf legend sandals just perfect.
The Tibetan hills sandals combine natural brown with metallic gold that would look fabulous against a suntan. These have now been reduced to £34.99, so they are a really stylish bargain.
The Serin wedge is part of the Clarks original range, and has the feel of a real 1970s classic about it. I just love the idea of Jane Birkin wearing these with flared jeans and a simple white t-shirt.
