Everyone knows that the easiest way to inject a new look into your wardrobe is through accessories. You may not be able to afford that fabulous new dress that you spotted in that glossy magazine, but the handbag, or that jaunty scarf, that is another story. And with this seasons weather being so dire we’re not sure if it’s June or January, accessories again prove a safe way to add Summer to the wardrobe without resorting to freezing in the name of fashion.
One of my favourite High Street names, White Stuff, always seem to deliver when it comes to accessories. The gorgeous range of leather bags use a wonderful array of colours, from powder blue to jade green, adding a brightness to your wardrobe even on the darkest of days. I particularly love the Bardot bag with its neat satchel styling.
Scarves are another great way of updating your wardrobe. They look chic over a simple shift dress, whilst they can look cute and casual with jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. I love the dip dye design of the Bhindi print scarf in the prettiest of pinks with just a hint of gold. Stylish and oh so feminine.
A statement necklace is another really simple way of dressing up a simple outfit and turning it into something WOW! A statement necklace is a definite investment piece, and something I have been sporting a lot this Spring/Summer. It is also versatile. Layer a statement necklace over a white vest for a collar style effect that can change an outfit instantly. I really love the coloured drop necklace in neutral tones that I would love with cool linen.
And finally…shoes! Well sandals, it is supposed to be summer after all. A neutral sandal is a must for most wardrobes, and I’m loving the Mollie dot toe post sandals in coral that are cute, comfortable and a perfect summery shade to blend in with your wardrobe basics.
