This Sunday sees Fathers Day, officially the most difficult gift buying day of the year. I ask my dad what he would like for Father’s Day every year and get the same answer, ‘I don’t want anything, I don’t need anything’, which is frankly no help whatsoever. I have gifted a barbecue, old fashioned shaving bowl and soap, a small greenhouse, and numerous football tops, and now find myself running out of ideas for something to spoil, amuse or simply make the old man smile!
If you’re having the same problem – fear not. Here are some great ideas for gifts if your heart belongs to Daddy, because they might be able to write moaner on their passport under occupation, but you still wouldn’t be without them, or change them in any way.
For something beautiful, unusual and offering the best of British, you can’t go wrong with the gifts on offer at Liberty London. Here are a few things that caught my eye.
Selfridges has perfect gifts for the more discerning gentleman, especially those obsessed with personal grooming. I know my dad would love the beautiful Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving kit.
Boden is the one stop for summer holiday dressing. From cool cashmere to khaki shorts, there is something for ever dad, when he holidays in St Tropez or Skegness.
