A Kate Middleton Week – Part 2

A few days later than planned, here is the second part of my Kate Middleton weekly round-up. Kate’s final two outfits of her busy week showed both her formal, and her casual style.  First up is Kate in familiar style by a familiar designer. For her first trip to Scotland since becoming Countess of Strathearn, Kate opted for a very pretty, classic coat dress by another designer who is proving to be quite a favourite with the Duchess, Emilia Wickstead.

This 1950s look is becoming a bit of a trademark for the Duchess, with the nipped in waistband and full skirt, but I must admit what I loved most about this look was the colour, a glorious primrose yellow that looked fabulous against Kate’s brunette locks. Yellow is another great way of adding summer to your wardrobe when the weather is letting you down.

Kate’s recycling came to the fore once again when Kate attended Wimbledon to watch Andy Murray in the men’s final. She opted for the nude Joseph dress that had been seen a year ago during the North American tour, and she paired this with a Joseph jacket, the Nessie, again a piece that had been worn before, again in 2011.

This understated nude shift dress looked very elegant, and was the perfect outfit for the occasion, both smart but low-key. Maybe she was trying her best not to outshine the Brit on Centre Court. although with both Middleton’s in the Royal box this was a real bonus for both tennis fans and Middleton fans.
