Gudrun Sjoden brings a blast of Spring

February 14th, 2013

Lest year I told you all how I had fallen in love with the relaxed Scandinavian style of Gudrun Sjoden after viewing her designs at the Varg S/S press day. And now that Spring is finally approaching, after what has been a bitterly cold winter, I am really excited to say that those same designs are now available online and in store, bringing a much needed blast of colour and springtime to the new season.

This season there is a real emphasis on print. From the prettiest of colour clashing pink and green, to the jungle leaf print of the faux wrap style dress, this is a collection which uses pattern and print to it’s best advantage.Gudrun clashes those prints in an eclectic way in her styling of the collection, but these pieces are also great paired with bold, block colours to create a more subdued look that would blend into a working woman’s wardrobe with ease.

Gudrun Sjoden is well known for classic, casual pieces and this season has produced the perfect, Alexa Chung style Breton top in the softest brushed cotton. Also an absolute must are the patterned scarves that that come in a wide variety of designs and are large enough to double as wraps on chilly Summer’s evenings.
