A new Outfit store has opened in the fab New Square Complex in West Bromwich, and I was invited to take a little look around to check out the shopping experience. Happily, I can safely say it is well worth a visit.
For those unfamiliar with the Outfit concept, Outfit is a sort of mini department store for Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia brands. In the West Bromwich branch there are areas dedicated to Wallis, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Topman. Other stores also feature Evans, Burton and Warehouse. The New Square branch is slightly smaller than usual, being based in a shopping centre area rather than a retail park, but each brand is full of this season’s most coveted pieces.
The West Bromwich Outfit scores immediate points for the cute signs on the window proclaiming that ‘Outfit loves West Bromwich.’ Entering the store, I was immediately struck by how light and airy it was, and how spacious it felt. I was with my sister who was pushing a pram, and yet could easily maneuver around the store without bumping into fixtures and fittings.
The store displays look great. Carefully chosen key pieces that have been colour co-0rdinated to perfection. I love that accessory ideas that match have also been added to displays, this is great if you find it difficult to put together a complete outfit. The monochrome display above really caught my eye, so stark and striking.
The window display also looks amazing. Showcasing a great and diverse range of looks ensuring the store will attract customers of all ages, and yet not overly full so you find it hard to focus on anything.
I must give a mention to the lovely manager Steve. With a true love for fashion and a wealth of experience, Steve is a friendly prescence happy to help with any queries you might have. A real credit to the company.
