Watchshop.com – They Do Sunglasses Too.

Watchshop.com has long been a destination to visit if you were looking for a classy,  designer quality watch, so it is great to be able to report that the company now stocks a range of designer sunglasses, just in time for holiday season. The collection  of 390 styles includes iconic brands like Emporio Armani, Nike, Rayban and Storm, and in both male and female designs, so for people who love their sunglasses (i.e. me), this is a site to bookmark as the temperatures continue to rise.

I love my sunglasses, so when I was asked if I would like to do a review to celebrate the new ranges, there was no hesitation from me. I chose a pair from classic American design house Calvin Klein. Watchshop says of Calvin Klein:-

Calvin Klein eyewear incorporates innovative design details in fashion forward styles and bold colorations. This aspirational eyewear appeals to the urban, creative and independent individual.

I love the slightly vintage style of tortoiseshell glasses, the sort worn in the 1950s by sultry film stars like Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobridgida, so the Calvin Klein Collection CK7964S designs were always going to catch my eye. This design is neat and tidy, rather than the oversized look that took over in the 1960s, and the brown frame, contrasted against the black lenses are a super stylish look. They are also very comfortable to wear for long periods (they’ve been worn a lot this weekend) and look chic when worn with a dressy outfit, as well as worn casually with jeans.

Calvin Klein glasses are always well protected, arriving in a beautiful glasses case that will keep them safe in your handbag or stored at home in a drawer. They also have an official 12 month guarantee, definitely piece of mind when buying such an iconic piece of fashion. Plus, when you buy from Watchshop.com, you get your glasses within 3 days of ordering by free delivery, and they have a 30 day returns policy, just in case you decide the design is not for you, although I don’t think that would happen with this particular pair of glasses – they are just so stylish.

May Outfit Posts

May was busy. In fact, May was an extremely busy month. It was filled with press shows, events and family time, and it also featured some sunshine, and weather that was decidedly sunny – hurray! That said, it almost ruined the Bank holiday by pouring with a rain storm that can only be described as biblical, which was a shame, as the Friday before the Whitsun bank holiday was hot, hot, hot. I was in Wales for the Bank holiday and have to say we had two nice days, and in Britain, two out of three isn’t bad.

In terms of my wardrobe, May was filled with lots of my vintage and charity shop buys as I finally embraced my summer wardrobe.  There were a few new pieces, including my white skirt from TK Maxx that has a fifties prom feel, and the lovely Topshop dress that has a Bardot style neckline and a lovely silver thread running through it. But in general, this has been a month of bargain spotting, from the culottes that I got thinking they were a skirt, pricely sum £2.49, to the Louboutins that almost had me salivating (£25), and the red 1980s pleated skirt that is so lovely and cost just £1.99 from a Compton Hospice shop. I love having fun with fashion and generally think I have more fun rummaging than I do shopping the High Street.

What did you get this month? Do you ever vintage or charity shop?

A touch of Westwood from OD’s Designer Clothing

OD’s Designer Clothing is a one stop shop for all those with a love of designer labels. Stocking a range of clothing, fashion and accessories for men, women and children, OD’s is a place to look if you love Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Olivia Burton, Moschino, Raymond Weill, Thomas Sabo…the list is, quite literally, endless, and is just full of quality items, whether you are treating yourself, or looking for a gift for a loved one. (Father’s Day anyone?)

OD’s has a great range of bags from my favourite designer, Vivienne Westwood, and the WV Westwood Bag may well be the perfect versatile bag for any event this summer. A sleek black leather design in the classic Messanger style, this cross body bag would be so useful and practical whether you need your hands free on the school run, want to party away at a summer festival, need something classic and elegant for a summer wedding, or just want to be able to hold more carrier bags on a shopping trip.

The bag is surprisingly roomy, with an internal security pocket with a zip, all lined in gorgeous Westwood orb print fabric. I found I could easily get a small purse, keys, phone, lipstick, tissues and an eye liner in the bag and still have a little room. The zip fastening on the top is another security plus, and it also looks great with the orb engraved for that extra luxurious look.

The bag is such a classic design. It is plain except for the enamel orb on the front, which makes it a bag that can be matched with so many outfits. The long strap could be worn over the shoulder, or cross body style which not only looks cool, but means your belongings are always in front of you.

This bag is so versatile
