Father’s Day Sorted with GiftsOnline4U

Can you believe it is almost June? The year has once again slipped by, almost without us noticing, and now we are almost at the mid point, and, with the coming of June, we once again have Father’s Day to look forward to. I often find Father’s Day to be a more difficult proposition than Mother’s Day when it comes to choosing gifts – my mom will present you with a list as long as her arm when you ask what she would like, whereas dad’s often come out with ‘I don’t need anything’, leaving you wracking your brains when it comes to finding the perfect gift.

Fortunately the answer may be at hand. GiftsOnline4U is a one step shop for a range of truly beautiful gift ideas, many of which can be personalised to make a wonderful, unique present for a loved one. With Father’s Day just a matter of weeks away I have found a great gift idea of an engraved watch. Each watch can be engraved with a personal message, and the range of watches are varied enough to suit any taste.

I chose the stylish personalised gents wristwatch in silver and black as a gift for my hubby Peter from Joe. I liked this design as it is modern and fresh, with stark silver digits and hands that contrast so nicely against the black face and strap. The watch has a silver plated alloy body, and the strap, which is black leather looks very luxurious due to a detail that is almost croc inspired.

The engraving of your message is on the back of the dial, and you are able to choose up to five lines of text in your message. You can also select the font – these range from Times New Roman to Comic Sans, so even this detail can be personal to the recipient.

I love this gift idea, it is beautiful and elegant, and totally special for the person who is receiving it. I think it would make a great Father’s Day present, but would also work well as a wedding present from a bride to her groom, or a present for a best man. It could also be a good way to mark an anniversary or a graduation – a personal gift always shows thought and care, and when the watch is also fabulous quality, this makes it all the better. In addition, the watches from GiftsOnline4U are all beautifully gift boxed, with the watches attached to soft cushions, and then placed in boxes which don’t necessarily need to be wrapped.

This Father’s Day is the time to step away from the Old Spice and the socks and give dad a present he will truly cherish. A personalised watch ticks every box and is practical and useful too. Dad would certainly approve.

Claireabella at Toxic Fox – Perfect Beach Accessories

When you are thinking about your Summer holidays, packing light is always at the forefront of your mind. Many airlines restrict you to just 15kgs of luggage these days, which is not exactly brilliant if you are going on a two-week holiday. So packing items that are stylish, but light and space-saving are definitely on the top of our holiday lists. Claireabella, the cult classic personalised bag and accessories company, which is available at Toxic Fox, may just have solved the beach bag/multi-purpose tote bag problem and created something that is cute, personal and very practical.

You are probably aware of Claireabella from their television adverts and through the fact that celebrity fashionistas seem to love them. Just this week Karen Danczuk, MP wife and selfie queen, was spotted with her personalised Karen bag, and others celebs like Jess Wright, Una Healy and Michelle Keegan all tote their pretty, girlie totes with pride.

Claireabella bags are so easy to create, you simply personalise them to suit the person you are giving them too. You can choose the outfit, the hair colour and style, eyes, skin tone, literally everything to create an idealised image of yourself. You can then add this image to a range of personalised gifts, from canvas and hessian bags, passport covers, mugs, make-up bags, satchels, wine glasses – the list is literally endless. My Design

I am currently enjoying a holiday in the sun and this lovely tote has traveled with me. I love the fact that it is lightweight, and it is so cute it attracts looks and attention wherever it goes. I´ve even been wearing a very similar black swimsuit and holding the odd wine glass so it is just a perfect holiday accessory for me!

If you are traveling very soon, this might well be the perfect holiday accessory to add to your suitcase.

Laptop skins from Case App

I was recently contacted by a Swedish Company called CaseApp who produce custom laptop skins and mobile phone cases. They wondered if I would be interested in reviewing one of their custom made products, and as I am the world’s worst at looking after my laptop, I thought this would be a great product to try out.

My laptop was purchased last year, but after being used every day it is showing signs of wear and tear. I have snapped plastic on the corner of the lid after dropping it, and there are lots of scratches on the lid too.  CaseApp has designs for a laptop skin, but I liked the idea that you can design your own using a favourite photograph or image.

indexI chose a favourite family group shot from our summer holiday in Menorca. I don’t have that many family photographs with all three of us in, so this one is much loved.

The picture I chose.

Designing your own skin is really simple. You simply choose the device or size of laptop that you are designing for, the select and upload your chosen image. I was told that my image wasn’t really optimum in terms of quality, but I decided to go with it anyway as it was the picture I wanted to use.  You can also add text, clip art or use a collage image if preferred. Once your design is finished, you just save it to your cart. It really is that simple.

DSCN0054[1]The skin arrives flat in a large envelope with a cardboard piece that stops it from bending. The image is like a vinyl and is backed by a sticky adhesive so it can be peeled from its mount and very easily put onto your laptop. It is easy enough to do, but if you do make a mistake, you can unpeel it from your laptop and re-affix.

I love the finished product.

The skins cost £22, which I think is quite reasonable. They make your laptop personal and also protect it against scratches and stains. They are also easy to remove or change if you get bored of looking at the same picture every day. They are a great idea, and would make a good gift for a techno lover.

*I was sent a code to make my CaseApp skin – the opinions are my own.
