7 Styling Hacks That’ll Instantly Improve Any Outfit

To upgrade the look of your outfit, you do not have to spend a lot of money or make an appointment with a tailor.  In fact, you most often do not need to have basic knowledge about sewing at all.  All you need is a bit of imagination and some inspiration. And we are here to help. This article contains 7 styling hacks that will help you improve your outfit without studying all there is about styling and fashion. Let’s start.

Scarves and Headscarves

The easiest way to add some color to your outfit is by adding some layers, like coats, jackets, and so on; however, if you do not want to invest in a colorful coat in a fear that you will not use it enough, scarves and headscarves are the way to go. You can use a headscarf to add that pop of color and hide your hair on a bad hair day. Use it as a hair tie or even as a belt. As these accessories come in all the possible colors, you will always find the perfect one.

Knots, and Even More Knots

Got bored of that oversized t-shirt? Tie a knot somewhere at the bottom of it. Have some comfortable ones that you have managed to tear up somewhere? Make it intentional, and split that part into two pieces, and then tie a knot. No need to throw away the beloved clothes just because they received a bit of damage. Reduce, reuse, and after everything, recycle!

Mobile Phone Cases – fashionable and Protective

Why are we talking about a phone case in an article about outfits? Well, let’s think about which items stay in your hands for most of the day? And the answer is… Your phone. So, getting a stylish phone case will not only keep your device safe and sound, but it will also make your phone into that perfect statement piece that will tie your outfit together. Therefore, you should invest in a couple of phone cases that will look amazing with your outfit.

Hair Ties to the Rescue

We love those rolled-up sleeves, it looks cool, but when some movement is included, this is where it all starts to go downhill. A plain black or white hair tie will come to the rescue when a fight between the rolled-up sleeves and gravity becomes too much. So, simply use a thin, elastic hair tie, slide your sleeve into the desired position, throw the hair tie over it, and cover it with the rest of the fabric. This way, you can go on with your day without constantly adjusting the sleeves.

Statement Socks

Socks are usually very underrated as accessories, and you should add those colorful socks into your wardrobe. Get yourself a few pairs of movies, comics-inspired socks and make your more professional look a bit more fun, even Agent Booth from Bones loved some colorful socks, and if an FBI agent allows himself some fun, you should too! Mix and match them and style them with every possible outfit you can think of!

The Double-sided Tape

As we mentioned, you do not need to know how to sew to make changes in your clothes. Some double-sided fabric tape is exactly what you need. One roll of such tape will be ready to help whenever you want to adjust the length of some clothing pieces. Also, it is that perfect helper when you need to keep something in one place, such as keeping your dress from sliding off your shoulder.  To avoid this, simply stick your dress to your bra straps, and voila, no more dress acting wild. There is no need to use scissors for shortening your pants or shirts. This means that there will be no permanent damage and no crooked lines. Now you can experiment all that you want, and nothing will be irreversible!

Cuffs For the Funs

Another no-cut option is cuffing. As we have already established, rolled-up sleeves look great, and so do your trousers. This is the perfect way to hide the sleeves or trousers that are too short or too long. By cuffing, you make it seems intentional. Also, your jeans might be just the right length, but you know, those new boots look just perfect, and the best way to showcase them? Yes, by cuffing the trousers!
