A Buckt Treat At @Pizza

@Pizza is the latest pizzeria to hit Birmingham’s thriving food scene. Located in Grand Central, @Pizza offer’s gorgeous sourdough Pizza and the option to chose a pre-planned option, or a complete create your own option. The pizza’s are delicious, cooked in just 90 seconds, and you can accompany them with salads, sourdough garlic bread and crunchy slaw.

Last month, Pizzas from @Pizza were one of the treats on offer as part of your Buckt box subscription. Buckt offer a couple’s activity box that offers between 3 and 5 activities each month in the Birmingham and Manchester areas. You subscribe to Buckt box, choose the activities you want to take part in, and then have 2 months to enjoy them (although you must book them in the first month.) There are a range of activities offered through Buckt, we have watched a  T20 Blast match at Edgbaston, Ice Hockey with the Coventry Blaze, had afternoon tea at Pirlo’s and a trip to London with Snap. The @Pizza option was great, as I was able to pay for an extra friend pass and take my son Joe after his Sunday league football match.

There are some brilliant pizza places around, including the brilliant London Pizza Depot, and @Pizza is another cracker. We enjoyed  a range of pizzas. I created my own with tomato puree, cheddar cheese, chicken, peppers and onion, with garlic oil drizzled on top. Joe created a simple and traditional pepperoni, whilst my hubby Pete went for one of the pre suggested ideas, the ‘Eat, Meat, Repeat’ which consisted of pepperoni, Italian sausage, Wiltshire Ham and spicy beef meatballs, as well as cheese, tomato etc. We had large versions of all our pizzas and have to say they were delicious, cooked fresh with great ingredients, perfect for both adults and children.

There are a range of sides available, with the slaw and greens costing just £1.50, and I love the drinks, particularly the refillable sodas with a rather gorgeous Sicilian lemonade being amongst the choices available. There are also cans of still and sparkling water, and also alcoholic options, the Peaky Blinders ale being a real fave in their home town.

We loved our Pizza at @Pizza, and will certainly be making a return trip.
