An evening with The White Company

Last Tuesday The White Company, in partnership with Style Birmingham magazine, hosted a special evening of fashion and fizz at their Grand Central store. Grand Central was celebrating its first birthday week, so this was a perfect time to showcase the Autumn ranges from The White Company with The White Company’s clothing director Barbara Horspool giving a special trunk presentation of the key pieces from the brand, which truly is the home of minimalist luxury. I went along on the night with my sister Jodie, and basically fell in love with the whole range, which was classic, minimal and oh so stylish.

The White Company was started in 1995, when the founder, Chrissie Rucker, discovered that she couldn’t buy the classic, minimalistic home ranges that she desired on the High Street. She decided to plug this gap in the market and The White Company was born, later branching out into clothing, toiletries and childrenswear. Today it is one of the brightest lights on the High Street, a byword for stylish. elegant separates that are perfect for weekend relaxation.

Barbara Horspool gave us a walk through the key pieces that your wardrobe needs for Autumn 2016, with beautiful leather and cashmere, and the loveliest of shearling making up the hero pieces in the collection. Barbara is just so passionate about the clothing and really gave great tips on how to wear them, and how they can fit in with the current pieces in your wardrobe. I loved the pocket shift dress, that she teamed with a soft grey bag with super cute pom pom charm.
