The latest, star studded campaign for M&S has arrived in typically classy style. Following hot on the heels of the Summer campaign which featured the likes of Annie Lennox, Doreen Lawrence and Rita Ora, the Autumn/Winter campaign continues to feature women who are admired as much for their talent and personality as they are for their fashion sense. The first star to be unveiled is the brilliant actress Anna Chancellor.
Anna is probably best known as Duckface from Four Weddings and a Funeral, or for her turn as Caroline Bingley in Pride and Prejudice. This Autumn, she is also joining the cast of the nation’s favourite costume drama, Downton Abbey, and so will be a familiar presense in our living rooms in the run-up to Christmas. And it seems that she will also be appearing on our small screens in the ad breaks between Downton as the latest star wearing classic M&S designs.
Anna is a great advocate for a brand that is more about serious style than throwaway fashion. As she says in the film above, she knows what she likes, and the styles she wears are more suited to everyday activities than walking down a red carpet. I have a feeling she is going to be a popular face for the High Street brand.
A few pieces of Anna Style
Love that sort of classic style.
haha watched four weddings and a funeral two days ago so you definately jogged my memory of who she was! lol I really like the satin pocket top, looks like something you could easily dress up or down xxxx
Love this simple, but elegant look as it never dates & makes a great addition to any wardrobe! I’m also looking forward to seeing Anna Chancellor in the latest M&S campaign.
