Black Friday used to be an American thing. That final Friday in November which just happened to be one of the biggest shopping days of the year, certainly in terms of online sales. It was the day when people suddenly realised that there was less than a month before Christmas and that they had to get a move on in order to sort all those presents. Enterprising companies realised that they could help sales massively by offering sales and discounts and Black Friday was born. Now it is an international phenomenon, and the UK has fully embraced it and is gearing up for this years event, which is on 25th November.

Mainline Menswear, which specialises in designer menswear, shoes and accessories, will be hosting a very special Black Friday event which will cover the whole weekend from Friday November 25th until Cyber Monday on Monday 28th November. Over 250 items will be reduced by up to 25% in what is Mainline’s biggest ever Black Friday event. The Actual items that will be reduced are a heavily guarded secret, but I can give you the names of the 30 designer brands that will be featuring in the sale.

It is clear from looking at the premium brands involved in the sale that this is a really great time to be looking for Christmas presents for the designer loving men in your life, be it husbands, sons, brothers or dads. I’m waiting to look at the collection from Midlands designer Luke Roper as my hubby is a real fan of his Luke 1977 polo tops, and will also be checking out the Levi’s 511’s – his jeans of choice. Fred Perry and Superdry will also be of interest, and for fans of classic design, PS by Paul Smith and Ralph Lauren are certainly of interest.
