Boohoo Plus size range just gets better

It is no secret that I’m a real fan of the plus size range that Boohoo introduced late last year. I have quite a few pieces in my wardrobe and they tick a whole lot of boxes. They are well sized – if anything they can be quite generous, they are superbly priced, and the style and quality have both proven to be pretty good. Now Boohoo are further extending the collection, with pretty much anything you need for Autumn/Winter included in the latest collection.

The dress I am reviewing on the blog today is now in the sale, and I would say it is an absolute bargain if you are a dress fan. The Charlotte Mesh inset dress comes in two colour ways, black and a very sweet coral colour, which is the colour I went for, just for a change.  The dress had cap sleeves, a knee length skirt, and a very eye-catching lace/mesh panel. I liked the simplicity of the dress on the website – the neckline took away the problem of finding a necklace, and the length was just right, neither too short or long.

I do like this dress, but must admit that  I wish I had opted for the black, as I think I would probably wear it more. I loved the fact that it was stretchy in a sort of scuba material, this is the sort of dress that just goes on over the head, with no zips or fastenings. The colour is gorgeous, a lovely deep coral shade that contrasts so well with the cream mesh detail.

DSCN9496I do have a couple of issues with the dress though. Firstly, this is not the dress I would wear if I was going out for something to eat – it clings to the stomach a little, so no good for hiding a food baby. Secondly, the beautiful lace panel on the front is a little low for me, it revealed a lot of bra and so I added a vest underneath to spare some of my blushes. But, all in all, I really liked how pretty it was. It was a very different style for me to wear.

I wore this dress for a night at the ballet. It was a lovely warm evening, and so the colour and style seemed just right. I added animal print accessories, and just a large cuff bangle.

Liked the lace collar dress. I too would have preferred black but you look nice in the colored one. Great choice

I think that dress looks great on you, it’s a lovely colour but if I’m honest I probably would have gone for the black one too, as you say more opportunities to wear. I love those other pieces you featured and I actually put one of those trench coats on a recent wishlist I blogged about (only in pink instead). Great post! Nice I see Boohoo are one of those budget friendly websites that cater for us slightly larger ladies 🙂 xx
