Talking Panto With Tam Ryan And Ian Adams
Ahead of the Wolverhampton Grand Panto Season, which this year is Aladdin, I chatted with a Tam Ryan and Ian Adams. Both are returning to Wolverhampton this year after a very successful season in Cinderella last year, and both were keen to talk about what this years show will bring. Fashion-mommy: Ian and Tam, welcome back to Wolverhampton, can you tell me a little about your characters this year? Tam: Well I’m Wishy Washy, Aladdin’s brother. He’s cheeky and hapless and totally drives the comedy. He is also a character that brings the audience into the show through participation. Ian: I’m Widow Twanky, Aladdin’s mom and a poor washerwomen, it…

The Osmonds Musical Delights Birmingham
It has to be said that last night was not a normal opening night at The Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham. To put it blunty, maybe The Osmonds did leave the stage twice in their heyday due to medical emergancies in the audience that meant that the show had to be stopped, the lights put up and ambulances called, but I have to say it’s not something that I’ve seen in my time in reviewing theatre. That said, the cast were absolute troopers, utter professionals who made sure we all made it to the end, and that a good time was had with one of the best musicals around. The Osmonds story…

It’s Panto Time – 5 Minutes With Ben Cajee
Following on from Sunday’s interview with Michael Greco, today I bring you my interview with TV presenter Ben Cajee, who will be playing Aladdin in this year’s Wolverhampton Grand Panto. Ben is a veteran presenter in children’s TV, with a wide range of presenting jobs including Blue Peter, Match of the Day Kickabout and the CBeebies House, but this is his first trip to Wolverhampton. I had a chat with Ben where we talked of Panto’s, Wolverhampton and all things football – not a brilliant topic for either of us this season! Fashion-mommy: Welcome to Wolverhampton Ben, how are you finding it? Ben Cajee: It’s great, really super friendly. I…

Today I’m bringing you an interview with the wonderful actor Michael Greco, who this year will be playing everyone’s favourite baddie, Ebenazar. Fashion Mommy: Welcome to Wolverhampton Michael, can you tell me a little bit about your character in Aladdin? Michael Greco: I’m playing Ebenazar, who of course is the baddie. What really…

Dreamgirls Is Coming To The Alex This December
One of the most iconic musicals in recent times, Dreamgirls, is finally coming to The Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, this December and yesterday the new show run was launched in spectacular style, with a live lounge style set in the theatre’s Piano Bar. I went along to enjoy the launch and have to say, the show is looking like an absolute must see. Dreamgirls is the story of the rise of an all girl trio in America in the 1960s (said to be based on The Supremes) and the trials and tribulations, the friendships and betrayals, and the relationships that envelope the personel, Effie, Deena and Lorell, and the male singer…
