Celebrity Style spots featuring Kate Beckinsale, Fearne Cotton and Pippa Middleton

So much fab celebrity style on show at the moment. Everything from warm winter looks from Fearne Cotton who I think is giving a masterclass in maternity style, to Ella Henderson, showing us how to look young and fresh without resorting to showing the flesh.  The Kardashian’s have taken London and are currently showing us how to wear their new collection for Dorothy Perkins (how amazing does Kim look in that form fitting red dress) whilst Kate Beckinsale adds a bit of Hollywood style in one of my absolute favourite labels – Preen.

How are some of the hottest looks from the pages of the glossies…and a bit of cute courtesy of new dad Robbie Williams.

X Factor Fash Off – Week 5 – Pretty, Pretty,Pretty

This week I had a shock, horror revelation during the vote off show as I realised that I had loved all the dresses on display over the weekend. From Tulisa covering up and looking great, to Nicole showing that you can reveal skin without looking tarty, I totally enjoyed all four of the looks we were treated to. No frock horror shows, nothing to edgy or experimental, just four great dresses.

Saturday night

On Saturday night Tulisa just sparkled in a beautiful dress from New York designer Jovani. The exquisite and strategically placed beading looked amazing under the studio lights, reminding me of the skin and beads dresses designed by Bob Mackie for Marlene Dietrich and Cher in the 1970s. Tulisa kept her accessories to a minimum, although I wasn’t so impressed with the mermaid style hair. What did impress me was that Tulisa had apparently hired the gown from Girl meets Dress for less than £50, and that you could hire the same dress too for a fantastic Christmas party look.

Nicole also looked fabulous on saturday night. I love that she opted for a leather outfit that was really classy, showing that leather can look elegant. Nicole’s outfit was actually a skirt and top designed by Ermanno Scervino, although it did have the appearance of a dress. The pencil length skirt keeps this looking grown up and glamorous, whilst the top may be strapless, but it is not too revealing.

Sunday night was another goodie. Tulisa looked perfect in a black and white structured lace dress that I first thought was by Phillip Armstrong. The magical creation was actually designed by Kruszynska Couture and this was a very angelic look for Tulisa, one which suited her perfectly. I loved that this dress was quite conservative in comparison to some of her other choices, but the black panel keys in perfectly to this seasons opulent brocade trends, making this possibly Tulisa’s best ever X Factor look.

Nicole opted for a slip of a dress that did have the look of beautiful vintage lingerie. I personally thought this was super soft and pretty, the lace detailing and neutral shade suiting Nicole perfectly, whilst her hair looked just stunning in a vintage style roll. I am also rather partial to those Guiseppe Zanotti shoes.

X Factor Fash Off Week 4 – Happy Halloween.

Last weeks X Factor is destined to be remembered for Cigarettes and Alcohol rather than any of the performances on the night. Gary Barlow’s shockingly rude comment about Tulisa’s fagash breath seemed out of the character for a man usually renowned as a gentleman, and left the other judges in a state of shock. (Louis Walsh’s face was an absolute picture). The comment certainly overshadowed the fashion on display, which predictably had a dark feel to keep in with the Halloween theme.

First up is Nicole, who was wearing a Julien MacDonald embellished catsuit. Now, there is no doubt that Nicole has an incredible body, but in the same way I hated Tulisa’s look last Halloween when she dressed as ‘Girl on a Motorcycle’, I hate this. I know it’s Halloween but that’s no excuse for turning up in a costume that Catwoman might wear for Sunday best. It was dramatic and beautifully made, but oh so attention seeking.

On the other hand I really liked Tulisa’s beautiful black evening gown by Ariella Couture. Yes, it was a little tight on the bust area when she was sitting down, looking far better when she was standing up at the beginning. But this was a real Gilda dress, and with retro 1940s waves I really liked what Tulisa was trying to achieve – a glamorous Old Hollywood look that was a world away from the cartoon Halloween look of Nicole.

On Sunday night Nicole looked simply stunning. Her John Richmond gown was revealing, showing both decolletage and endless legs, but there was nothing trampy about this outfit, and it was a welcome departure after her Saturday night frightshow. The black and gold was striking, whilst the skirt had a flamenco style to it. One of my favourite Nicole looks so far.

Tulisa had another great night on Sunday in an elegant prom style dress from Stephanie Allin. I loved everything about this dress, from the lave panel across the top, to the midi length skirt. Lace is a great way to utilise the Halloween trend without going into Morticia Adams territory, and this dress was gothic prettiness. The only thing I would change is to pair this with black, or red heels, but other than that it was another great night for the female boss.
