Dorothy Perkins Winter Warmers
1st November. And although the sun is now shining high in the sky, this morning there was a definite cold chill in the air, along with mist and fog that said just one thing – Winter is coming. As a person who hates all things cold, and longs for sunshine and heat, the only things that make me even slightly smile at the coming of Winter is Christmas, and the chance to add some sparkle and winter woollies to the wardrobe. Frankly everything else, the cold, snow, sleet, dark nights, dark mornings, sludge etc, etc, can just do one! (Anything mulled can stay though…)
This month the fashion focus is going to be looking at everything that is warm and cosy or glam or glitzy. With Christmas on the way it is definitely the right time to be looking for that knockout dress and jumpsuit that will basically serve you all through party season, but this week also sees Bonfire Night, so jumpers and winter warmers are also right at the top of your shopping agenda. Add in all those lovely Christmas markets that will be starting very soon, and it is quite clear your wardrobe needs to be Winter ready right now.
I’m starting the November focus with a look at Dorothy Perkins – it is always one of my fave stores for affordable, quality fashion, and this is certainly the case once again this season. Key picks are faux fur – either as a full length coat or just a super cute collar. I have also added a couple of Christmas ready jumpers, ranging from the obvious (dog with antlers anyone?) to the more subtle sparkle of the snowflake jumper.
