Fabulous Dates Around The Country
Finding the right place to enjoy a date can be difficult, even if you are a couple who have been together for a long time and have just managed to grab a date night away from the kids. But what about if it is your first date? How do you strike the balance between finding a place that is conducive to romance, but also doesn’t seem to be trying too hard, or isn’t too full on?
The first date is the all important one, it’s where those first impressions are made, where you first decide if you want to get to know someone better, if a person is on your wavelength. This can be even more nerve wracking if you have met someone through a dating site like Love Lincolnshire Singles or Love Bristol Singles, and, as such, may have genuinely only just met a person for the first time after talking through the internet, chatroom or such like.
With all this in mind, I have collated a few ideas for a first date that should make the right impression and lead to date two at least.
A Romantic Meal
Music is supposedly the mood for love, but if for you food is the food of love, then finding a venue for a lovely romantic meal is a bit of a no brainer when it comes to a first date. The key ingredients have to be good food (although nothing too spicy – it’s not all that romantic to spend all night gasping for water or having to run to the toilet), an atmosphere that is friendly, but not overly intimate – it is a first date after all.
If you are Bristol Dating, a real wow venue is the White Lion in Clifton, which offers good food and drink, but also spectacular views over the Clifton Gorge, which will at least give you a conversation opener.
Visiting A Castle
Of course, not all dates have to be traditional, and not all dates have to be of an evening. A daytime date could be something cultural, something that maybe you have a shared interest in, like a trip to an Art Gallery or a castle if you are history buffs. If you have met someone through a Lincolnshire Dating Site then a walk around the amazing castle and its grounds could give you some time to talk in a more relaxed environment.
This sort of date also sorts those who prefer to be outdoors in the fresh air, and it can be extended by going for a drink or food afterwards if the initial date goes well.
The Cinema
I’m never sure if the cinema is a good place for a first date as it doesn’t really give you a chance to talk. But if you do decide to go to the movies, there are a few things you can do to develop the date. The first is to chose the film wisely, choose something light hearted rather than a slasher movie or something overly romantic. Make sure you share that popcorn, nobody likes a selfish date, and try to get to an early showing so that you can extend the date with a drink afterwards. Dissecting the movie should again give you a conversation opener and help you to avoid the initial arkward silence.
