Fashion-Mommy loves…A review of June Style.

An exciting month for fashion,  June bought festivals, tennis and even moire weddings. Kate Moss celebrated a big, fat gypsy hen-do, Pippa wowed with her high street style, and the gorgeous Adele captured even more magazine covers. Here are my highlights from a fashion-filled month.

Kate, Duchess of Cornwall made her first official evening appearance at the Ark fundraiser and just wowed in a dusky pink Jenny Packham dress. This was one of many stylish appearances as Kate became a fully fledged royal superstar. I particularly loved Kate giving that peach Stella McCartney dress an outing at Prince Philip’s 90th birthday meal, the same dress once worn by Madonna.

Kate shone at the Ark gala, but their were other great looks on display. Laura Bailey looked ethereal  in Valentino, whilst I loved the colour of Saffron Aldridge’s yellow gown.  Holly Valance showed how she is embracing her curves in great style.

The Glamour awards celebrated the amazing success of Adele, and she looked amazing as she made yet another glossy cover, wearing multi-coloured floral Jil Sandar, a move away from her normal wardrobe of chic black outfits. Other stars looking amazing at the Glamour event were Kim Kardashian in Dolce and Gabbana and Naomie Harris in Azzaro.

Lily Allen got married, announced she was pregnant, and launched her amazing new Lucy in disguise collection – all in one month. She wore a stunning Delphine Manivet dress for her wedding day with a Karl Lagerfeld design for the evening. She also looked amazing at the Lucy in Disguise launch in Dublin, wearing clothes from the collection, although sister Sarah Owen caught my eye in a forties style blue dress.

Another wedding was that of ‘Who, What, Wear’ fashion writer Katherine Power. I absolutely loved the outfits worn by Nicole Richie and the super-glamorous Jessica Alba, who is taking maternity dressing to new heights.

Other things I loved this month;- Catherine Zeta Jones looking like a true movie star at the  Tony Awards, The legendary Celia Birtwell getting a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours and the fabulous new Chanel ads that resemble old pictures of Russian Princesses swathed in jewels.

I did quite a bit of shopping this  month..it was Fashion-Mommys birthday so I treated myself quite a bit. Here are some of the things I invested in.
