Favourite Looks From The 2018 SAG Awards

Sunday saw the 2018 SAG Awards (screen actors guild) and a return of colour to the red carpet. After the dramatic sea of black dresses at the Golden Globes as part of the ‘Me Too’ protest, there was hardly a black dress in sight. Instead we got lots of pale and interesting looks, shimmering metallics and some vibrant primary colours on a red carpet style parade that was diverse and beautiful.

My favourites were Margot Robbie, who is a bit of a girl crush at the moment. Nominated for her role in ‘I Tonya’, Margot wore a dress that harked back to old Hollywood, with sparkle and feathers that would have done Ginger Rogers proud. Nicole Kidman caught the eye in a dress I did like, but christened the prettiest quality street in the tin, it had that sort of quality.

Susan Sarandon was an absolute goddess in midnight blue shimmer, does that woman ever age? I am obsessed with her performance in ‘Feud Bette and Joan’ as Bette Davis, and really wished she had won on the night (Nicole Kidman won for Big Little Lies). I also loved the yellow gown chosen by Sydelle Noel, the green satin 40s style dress chosen by Reese Witherspoon, and the art deco inspired dress worn by E! presenter Guiliana Rancic, who, it has to be said is having a storming award season fashion wise.

Here are some more of the key looks from the 2018 SAG red carpet. Whose style catches your eye?
