Geox A/W 2013/4 Press Day
On Tuesday I travelled to London for a series of press events. One of those events was for Italian shoe and fashion brand Geox, which was held in their stylish showroom in Islington Green. I was very excited about this event as this was the first time I had attended a show for Geox, and I was not disappointed.
To put it in simple terms, Geox had something to appeal to every feminine taste and age. There were sporty wedge styled trainers and hi-tops that were both stylish and practical, whilst the beautiful flat shoes with gorgeous buckled details bought to mind classic designs by Roger Vivier and Salvatore Ferragamo, with a touch of Tory Birch thrown in for good measure.
Colour was represented in the most gorgeous mustard suede ballerina pumps, whilst there were also mouth-watering boots in purple and mustard shades, showing that Autumn/Winter shouldn’t mean the abandoning of brights in favour of muted shades.
One of the most discussed parts of the collection was the Patrick Cox for Geox collection. The famed designer has put together a really edgy, fashion forward range with animal print brothel creepers, Wedge boots and mini welly shapes a la Melissa/Westwood style all stand out pieces. I also loved the zip detail on the ballerina flats, which gave the shoe a slight punk feel.
All in all, this is a fantastic collection full of style and elegance, but always with one eye on key fashion trends.

I my goodness – the sneakers are gorgeous!!! I LOVE Patrick Cox too – I cared for my Wannabes back in the early 90’s like they were a child – in fact I have some red snakeskin ones hiding somewhere here!
