Getting your feet ready for summer.

I’ve spent most of the Easter holidays in Wales, where, at some points, it has been quite easy to enjoy four seasons in one day. Yes, we’ve had the heaviest of rain storms, snow when driving on mountain roads (quite scary to be honest), and the blusteriest of winds. But we’ve also had some glorious sunshine that proves that Spring is here, and that Summer is just around the corner, so today I am focusing my post and the often neglected area, the feet.

Summer is a time when our feet really need to look their best, we literally live in sandals if the weather allows, and so parts of the ankle, sole and toes are all on show. So, dry skin, corns and discoloured nails all need to be banished in order to achieve the perfect tootsies, and then you can treat your feet to a gorgeous pair of Summer sandals. Dry skin treats from Soap and Glory

Feet take some real punishment during Winter months. This is due to trudging through terrible weather and living in boots and thick socks. I swear by the Heel Genius foot cream by Soap and Glory, which seems to banish dryness and rough skin, and leaves feet feeling softer and smoother. It also smells great too. L’Occitaine Shea butter foot cream is also great for nourishing tired feet – put a thick layer in at bedtime and add a thick pair of socks, your feet will feel like they belong to a new born baby by morning.

Nail Polish!

I love the uniformity of finger and toe nails that match, and, for me, classic red is always appropriate and eye-catching. (though you can try other choices like this blue from Coteshop). Treat your feet to a touch of Chanel this summer, if you can’t afford the classic 2.55 bag, at least Coco would approve of your nail colour.

And now for the sandals…
