Gold by Giles for New Look – sneak preview.

One of my favourite High Street/designer collaborations has to be the Gold by Giles Deacon collection for New Look. The British designer has produced fantastic collections for the High Street store since March 2007 (I still have a treasured pair of very high wedges and the special paper carrier bag from that first collection!), and I have a sneak preview of a couple of the new dresses that will be hitting stores the second week in June. As usual, these dresses are high on style, whilst retaining a purse friendly price tag.

This is a very special Gold by Giles collection. New Look have trawled the Gold archives and put past designs out to the customers to find which were the publics favourites. The unanimous choices have been given an update treatment and will be introduced into stores and  online in June.

New Look representatives say ‘Giles’ signature black and white stripes are updated with a floral crochet effect teamed with a one shoulder design.  The crochet theme carries through to the all black tulip sleeve cutwork shift dress, perfect for this year’s Ladies Day at the races.  More casual styles are given an element of sexiness by adding a slit to the berry red one shoulder jersey maxi and colour update to the 1940s poppy print chiffon tea dress.’

With prices starting at £44.99, I predict that these dresses will be instant sell – outs. The beautiful, classic designs ensure that the pieces will enhance your wardrobe for years to come
