When you think of the colours and shades that become prevalent at Christmas, you tend to think of all shades of red and green. Metallic gold and silver are also popular, with sparkle also being a pre-requisite of the festive season. With all this in mind, it is refreshing when you see something a little different on the rails, and that may be why I love the current collection from Ted Baker.
Ted Baker’s latest looks are centre-staging one of my favourite colours. It is the most sugar-coated, candy, girly colour of them all. I could only be talking about pink! There are pink dresses of every description, neon pink Christmas jumpers and snoods that I have totally fallen in love with, and a whole range of pink bags, from the iconic bow shopper, to neat clutch bags and highly desirable shoppers.
Pink is a fabulous colour that I believe can take you across all the seasons, so a key buy now will be just as viable a wardrobe option even when the seasons change. And, don’t forget that Elsa Schiaparelli, 80s icon Mollie Ringwald and that most glamorous of dolls, the one and only Barbie, all swore by pink as their shade of choice.
So, in the words of Kay Thompson in Funny Face, maybe festive season is the perfect season to ‘Think Pink.’
