Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to live a healthier life? How much do you want to lose weight? What are you going to do? Have you tried to lose weight before? What is the reason you want to lose weight/ live healthier?
Nice if you leave a comment at the bottom of my blog post. It is my intention to encourage, inspire and motivate people but I can’t do it without you!
Changing a habit takes an average of 21 days. I’m going to use January to give tips, motivation and inspiration to live healthier and of course help you lose a few pounds.
Your body is your temple and you need to take good care of it. It’s your house you live in and it should last a long time. Life is beautiful and it would be a shame if you would let the quality of life go down because you don’t feel good and/or are unhealthy.
It’s not just about healthy eating and exercise but also about a healthy self-image. Here are 5 tips for a healthier life!
- Eat healthy
You take good care of yourself when you eat healthy. By eating according to the Disk of Five you reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. You also make sure you get all the nutrients your body needs. If you don’t choose too often for products outside the Five-slice scale, it is easier to maintain a healthy weight.
- Stay at a healthy weight
At a healthy weight you run fewer health risks than people who are overweight or underweight. For instance, you have a lower chance of disorders such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, joint problems and certain forms of cancer than if you weigh too much. In addition, a healthy weight makes you feel more comfortable and fitter.
- Drink at least 2 litres water a day
Unstimulated drinks such as water, (herbal) tea or vegetable juice help your body to dispose of waste fluidly. Limit drinking alcohol: it dehydrates you and affects your immune system.
- Exercise regularly
Exercise is important for a healthy life. You feel fitter when you move and it also reduces the risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease. How much exercise is best depends on your age. The advice for adults is: – at least 150 minutes of moderate or high intensity exercise per week; – and at least 2x per week of muscle and bone strengthening activities (for older people including balance exercises). Walking, running or cycling, but also heavier household chores, walking the dog and working in the garden count as exercise. Do what you like and what suits you. For example, instead of a beach vacation, look for walking holidays in Switzerland. Or what about walking holidays in Austria? This way you are on vacation, but active!
- Do not smoke
If you want to live a healthy life, you should not smoke. Do you want to stop smoking? Then you can start by simply thinking of the adverse effects of smoking on your body such as stained teeth, dry mouth, and even lung cancer. Stained teeth can be quickly taken care of through teeth whitening in Harrisburg. However, lung cancer will definitely require a lot of money, time, and effort to get rid of. Even then, there’s no assurance that one will survive it.
- Relax sufficiently
To live a healthy life, it is also important not to be too stressed. Make sure you have enough relaxation and sleep enough.
