It’s hat week at Newlife!
Children’s charity Newlife is launching a very special initiative starting from tomorrow. Called ‘Hat Week’ . anyone buying a hat could be in with a chance of winning a winter wardrobe of goodies at the Newlife SuperStore in Cannock.
Thanks to generous retail donors, Newlife has received a bumper batch of new hats and is now offering the opportunity for anyone buying a hat, next week, to be entered into a free draw to complete their winter wardrobe. This is fabulous for fashionista’s, for has the two Kate’s (the Duchess and Moss of course!) have shown, no winter wardrobe is complete without least one fabulous tifter.
The promotion will last for the whole week beginning on Monday 3rd October. One lucky hat-purchasing winner will be drawn at the end of the week, to receive a £100 voucher for SuperStore items from a range of coats, boots, shoes and accessories to add to their winter wardrobe.
The fun doesn’t end there. There is the opportunity to be a model and enter yourself in the ‘best hat wearer’ competitions on Facebook, where people can upload photos of themselves wearing hats in three categories: best female, best male and best child wearer. These will be judged and one person from each category will win a £25 Newlife voucher. To enter simply upload your picture onto the Newlife SuperStore Facebook page; log on to Facebook at www.facebook.com/newlifesuperstore and snap/share your photo on the wall.
I love this idea, and think yet again Newlife are thinking outside the (hat)box when it comes to initiatives to raise money for charity. Newlife is the UK’s leading children’s disability charity specialising in support to aid children affected by all disabilities. In addition to funding equipment grants and research, the charity also offers support services operated by specially trained nurses and campaigns for a fairer deal for children to obtain the essential equipment and services they deserve. The charity needs over £100,000 a month to provide essential equipment, such as wheelchairs, beds, walking frames, seating, safety equipment and communication aids, to disabled children nationwide.
Newlife CEO, the fabulous Sheila Brown, says: “This is a great way to get a bargain hat and a chance to win clothes plus your purchase will help disabled children as the profits from the Newlife SuperStore sales go to Newlife Foundation for disabled children.”
