January Charity Shop And Vintage Finds

January can be a mixed month when it comes to charity shop shopping. Money is always in short supply in January after the expense of Christmas, so finding a bargain in a charity shop is a good way to enjoy a treat without breaking the bank. But the pickings can be low on the ground, people do donate, but it is often in the form of unwanted Christmas presents rather than clothing, so you can often find lots of bubble bath and gift sets rather than something to wear.

I have been trawling the charity shops in a few different towns this month in order to see what you can find, and have also picked up a few items myself. There have been items that are new with the tags still attached, vintage items that are rip to be transformed into something new and exciting by up-cycling. There have been some designer items, some high end High Street, and clothes and accessories alike. My favourite find is the pretty incredible 1970s wedding dress that I found in the St Giles shop in Walsall – not something I would buy, but maybe perfect for up-cycling, and the veil is pretty gorgeous.
