JewelStreet – a feast for the eyes.
JewelStreet is a one stop jewellery haven that brings out the Magpie in me. A veritable feast for the eyes, JewelStreet combines 300 jewellery boutiques on one virtual High Street – a JewelStreet. This makes it a great place to look if you are trying to find something particular, from gemstones and precious metals, to the very best in designer costume jewellery. It is also a terrific destination if you want to treat someone special, or even just treat yourself. With brands like Muru, Jana Reinhardt, D for Diamonds and Kit Heath, I defy you to go to the website and not fall in love with at least one piece!
JewelStreet recently sent me a beautiful statement necklace from Fiorelli. Now, I am aware of the brand Fiorelli as a name in accessories, namely handbags and purses, but only recently found out that the brand had also branched into jewellery design. The online Fiorelli boutique on JewelStreet stocks an impressive 107 items. Clearly the brand is making big moves in the costume jewellery market, and I was excited to see if the quality of the piece would match the quality of their handbags.
The necklace I received was the pastel floral flower necklace, which arrived in a mini Fiorelli dustbag, with delivery from JewelStreet coming within a couple of days. Immediately I was struck with just how pretty this necklace is. the pastel colours work so well together and also suit the goldtone setting. This is definitely a statement piece, the largest flower immediately catches the eye, and the combination of diamante effect stones work well with the pastel pieces. I loved that this is a mismatch design, with different types and sizes of flowers – it gives the necklace a whimsical feel, and immediately evokes the paste jewellery that was so popular in the 1950s and early 60s.
The necklace has a clasp fastening that can be extended so you can decide where it sits on your neckline. The length can be anywhere between 43 and 48cm dependent on where it is fastened, and this means it could work well with both high and v necklines.
This is a really beautiful piece of jewellery that will look great, whether it be dressing up a pair of jeans on the school run, or making a statement with an evening dress. It is quite expensive, but on a par with Butler and Wilson pieces which cost a similar price. I have already worn this piece with two different looks and can see many occasions when this will be leaving the jewellery box.

*With thanks to JewelStreet for sending the necklace through for review.
