Jools Holland Hootenanny 2012 – Paloma Faith, Lianne La Havas and Emeli Sande

Jools Holland Hootenanny is always a tradition in my house for New Year, with a small child we’re usually back in well before the clocks strikes Midnight(no Cinderella moments for me) and so always welcome the new year with Jools and his guests. And in recent years I’ve noticed it’s become a bit of a fashion event too.

Last year Jessie J was Louise Brooks in 1920s style fringes, and this year we had Paloma Faith rocking origami styling and looking incredible (was it Sass and Bide – it reminds me of the Sass and Bide dress that Nicole wore on this series of X Factor), Lianne La Havas in the cutest Harlequin/1960s print playsuit and Solange style hair, and Emeli Sande in her gorgeous, elegant, black cocktail dress which showed why she is a real star, one not needing to flash the flesh to impress.

Talk about getting 2013 off to a cracking start!

This dress does have similar folds and was by Sass and Bide.

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to the world of fashion-mommy, a world of fashion, lifestyle, theatre and fun. Enjoy the ride.

Can you please tell me who is the designer or where Emeli’s dress is from (or similar) I have been looking for something for a wedding for a while and this is perfect! I just can’t find it anywhere

    Thank you x

I really don’t know where this dress is from, but Emeli often wears Alexander McQueen.
There are lots of similar styles to this around at the moment – try Phase Eight, Hobbs, and Reiss for this sort of look.xx
