Kate chooses Temperley for War Horse Premiere

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Warhorse premiere in London last night, and Kate opted to wear black again.  This time the dress in question was a beautiful, full length black lace gown with a nude lining, and it was absolutely lovely. Keying into Kate’s love of lace, this dress was elegant, feminine and utterly exquisite.

Kate has already showed support for Alice Temperley on a number of occasions, notably at Wimbledon in June, in a white dress criticised for being a bit like a tennis costume. This time Kate’s choice of Temperley has been eliciting approval all over the media and news sites.

I love that Kate is embracing classic black for formal, evening occasions. Black has been something that many believed the Royals should keep for funerals, but it is such a sophisticated, chic choice. I also love that this dress has the feel of a winter ball gown, with the darker shade and long sleeves. There is a touch of Spanish influence to the dress that I also adore, with Kate’s flowing hair she could be a Spanish Infanta – totally glorious.
