Keeping It Bright With Lighthouse Clothing

One of the things that has been a positive of lockdown and a slower pace of life is that I have rediscovered my love of the great outdoors. I still hate the rain with a passion, but for pretty much every other sort of wedding I find myself putting my boots on, grabbing a waterproof coat, and getting myself out and about, usually with a camera in hand.

I am lucky enough to live in semi rural area, with a large golf course that also doubles as a local beauty spot, complete with lakes that see the occasional geese and swans take up residency. This has become one of our fave places to walk, with the route being around 2.7kilometres, so a decent way to get exercise and keep fit too.

January has been very cold so far, with 2020 ending with a decent amount of snow, and more falling in the new year. So even though I enjoy my walks, they do mean that there is a need to wrap up warm. Lighthouse Clothing do some brilliant coats and jackets that are both practical and stylish, with the Iona coat in the New Sunrise shade being just so bright and pretty, and yet practical and warm too.

The Iona may just be the perfect winter jacket as it is waterproof, windproof and breathable, it’s also cosy due to its soft insulated and padded jersey striped lining. It keeps you warm and snug, and being waterproof, and having a detachable hood, it is also useful if you do get caught in an odd downpour.

This is the perfect coat to wear on cold days, it has a soft and cosy feel, and plenty of pocket space if you are just heading out for exercise, easy storage for your keys and card – who really needs a handbag these days? One pocket is internal for an extra bit of security too – a really nice feature. The microfibre makes it machine washable so you can wash and wear it as often as you want. This is a piece that will become a staple in your wardrobe, one you will reach for over and over again.

Welcome to the world of fashion-mommy, a world of fashion, lifestyle, theatre and fun. Enjoy the ride.
