Dating has changed so much over the last twenty years. The days of meeting someone in a pub or nightclub have become less and less as many local pubs closed their doors for the last time, and lockdown has further decreased the likelihood of this happening. Meeting someone at work was always a possibility, but as more of us work from home, this also becomes something less likely to happen. But as some avenues close, more open up. But can long distance dating ever really work?

One of the main things you need to consider is how you are going to keep in touch, and how often. In a local dating scenario you would probably have multiple dates in one week, but this, of course is not possible if you live many miles away. However, the power of Zoom and Skype means you can virtually meet up, maybe to enjoy a meal together, or just a catch and catch up about what has been happening in your life. You can use these online methods to make plans for when you do meet up, or merely to whisper sweet nothings to each other.
