MyaBlueBeach sings an hurrah for curves.

The problem with most beach cover ups is that they do just that – they cover you up, rather than enhancing what you’ve got. For curvy girls especially, the walk from the beach to the bar is one that involves tugging at an ill-fitting kaftan that is either too tight,or far too flowing, making you appear like a Demis Roussos lookalike. I was lucky enough to get a good look at the Mya Blue Beach ranges at the recent CiCi press day at Jalouse members only club in Hanover Square. I was so impressed by the choice of cotton fabric that could be scrunched up in your suitcase and then simply hung up, ready to wear. I loved the range of colours, vibrant pinks and blues, and the ever classic white, that just looks so good against a tan. The designs are timeless and elegant, I particularly loved the Kirti dress with the gold trim, whilst the Ourika kaftan is just stunningly pretty, and is cut to once again enhance your curves.

And if the totally covetable designs haven’t already bowled you  over, Lindsey’s admirable stance on air-brushing and body image certainly will. Profiling the label to focus on a healthy body image for women, Mya Blue Beach cast a varied choice of model for their look book and campaign shots, all images released for use are never air brushed or digitally enhanced in any way. The true female allure of our stunning models is allowed to shine through. “I am very strict with my ‘no air brush’ policy, on all of our label photography , we don’t need to” adds  Lindsey “ the models look fantastic and the feedback we receive from consumers and retailers is that it’s great to see real natural  beauty.”
