Solving dress dilemmas with Wingz
Christmas party dressing is lovely isn’t it? All those sleeveless, gorgeous dresses that just say ‘glamour’ and ‘elegance’. But what if you are not happy with your arms and don’t really want them on display? Or maybe you just feel the cold and need a little more coverage? You may even be trying to revamp one dress so you can wear it for more than one occasion – making it earn its keep this Christmas. If any of the above statements are true, then it may be worth getting yourself some ‘Wingz’.
Now, before you start thinking that I am losing it this morning – I’m not talking anything that makes you resemble a Christmas Angel from the top of the tree. Rather I’m talking about the Wingz that give you a set of sleeves that can be worn under any vest, top or dress to create a brand new look. Wingz have created sleeves in a range of colours, ranging from classic black and white to pretty purple chiffon, and animal print varieties. They also have a more dressy lace version, which is the one I opted for when Wingz gave me the opportunity to try a pair out.
I opted for a 3/4 sleeved version of the black lace Wingz, but they also come as a full length sleeve too. These are a perfect way for me to add another layer as I am not a fan of being warm – I’m still often to be found in t-shirts and thin tops even when the weather turns colder. The Wingz are easy to put on – you simply wear them as a top, with a stretch panel going underneath your bra to keep the sleeves in place. They then fit snuggly, with no gap between the sleeves of your top and the Wingz.
I wore my Wingz under a black lace sleeveless top from H&M to make it more appropriate for the cool Autumn weather. I added an animal print skirt from F&F and pull on boots from M&S. I used an Evans belt to pull the outfit together. I was really pleased with how the Wingz fitted, and how comfy they were to wear. I am planning to wear them under a simple black shift dress for a totally different look, and also have a Gap sleeveless, turtle neck jumper that I think they would work with. I also think you could add these to a coloured dress to make a very glam evening option.
Wingz are a great way to change and extend the life of your wardrobe favourites, and would make a brilliant, and practical Christmas present.

When I saw the top purple wingz photo I did wonder what it was, but think they’re a great idea. Like the lace ones you chose.

I think wings are a great idea as I always seem to wear a cardi all the time. Love the lace detailing of yours as well x
