Summer trends unveiled at Boden - fashionmommy's Blog

Light nights, long days and lots and lots of Vitamin D inducing Sunshine. Oh, how I love and long for Summer. As seasons go, it is definitely my favourite, which I think maybe something to do with the fact that I’m a June baby – I’m never happy that when I’m lounging in summer sunshine with a Pimms or Martini.

Another great thing about summer, apart from the aforementioned sun and cocktails, is summer fashion. Without the restraints of everything having to be covered by a heavy coat, we can turn once again to cotton and silk, to gorgeous colourful prints, and boho styles that literally scream ‘holiday’. Over the next few weeks I’m going to be bringing you the best of the High Street, online offerings and a few designer lust haves. I’m starting with Boden, who I think are one of the best brands for bringing a distillation of summer to our wardrobes.

This season Boden have focused on a combination of their much loved Vintage inspired pieces, and a boho inspired collection that combines the late 60s style of Talitha Pol, and the more recent Kate Moss/Sienna Miller boho revival looks. There are also geometric designs that could be outtakes from Pierre Cardin/Yves Saint Laurent 1960s collections.
