Another day in Spring seems to mean another press day, and a couple of weeks ago it was the turn of Surgery PR. After first of all storming their offices (sorry ladies – oops!), I then found the bright and cheerful venue on Wells Street, a great place to showcase some fabulous Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections.
Amongst the things that caught my eye were some fabulous metallic Birkenstocks, a Summer staple for many, and these certainly fitted the bill as the perfect Summer sandal – dressy enough to move from the beach to the bar – just add denim cutoffs and a kimono jacket.
Another brand that had me totally rethinking was Pauls Boutique. I have never been the biggest fan of this brand, mainly because I felt the designs were just too young for me, and, if I’m honest, veering towards ‘Chav’ territory. But boy, does the latest collection turn all these thoughts on their head! Sophisticated, grown up styles, in a range of shapes and fabric, a real look towards heritage shapes like the 2.55 and ladylike, top handled grab bags of the variety made popular by Grace Kelly, Pauls Boutique has grown up and grown gorgeous, and is sure to become a bag brand that is coveted by more than just trendy teenagers. (You can check out some of the gorgeous pastel coloured Pauls Boutique bags from the current range by clicking here)
It would be hard to pick a favourite, but the blue water colour effect bags were simply beautiful, and made me think of a Monet painting. These were gorgeous and springlike, and I liked the barrel shapes. You can also get matching accessories to go with this bag, perfect for those who like the totally put together look.
