Kate goes hat crazy!
If you loved the fabulous black hat that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, wore to the recent Trooping the colour celebrations, then next weeks tour of Canada is going to be a headwear treat for you. Kate has apparently ordered 5 hats from famous milliners Lock & Co. These are from the Sylvia Fletcher Hat-a-Porter range, the same range that rather fabulous black hat came from. The trooping the colour hat was called ´Lion Tamer´ and was also designed by Sylvia Fletcher. Her Hat-a-Porter range costs slightly less than the Lock & Co Couture range – showing signs that Kate is yet again being careful not to appear a spendthrift. Lock&Co already have the…

Kate wows in Jenny Packham, whilst Pippa is back at the Goring.
If I am truly honest, the event I have most been awaiting this fashion year, aside from the obvious spate of weddings, is the occasion when Catherine,Duchess of Cambridge, makes her first official evening engagement since becoming a married women. And tonight it finally happened! Kate and William are currently attending the 10th Annual absolute Return for kids Gala Dinner. This glamorous occasion calls for full evening glamour, and Kate has pulled out all the stops. Her gown is a show-stopping blush organza full length gown from Jenny Packham, shimmering with sequins and pretty chiffon sleeves. This dress is the absolute height of prettiness, and I love that Kate has…

Designer Vintage Wedding Show hailed as a Huge Success
One of my highlights of the year so far was the gloriously frothy and glamorous ‘Designer Vintage Wedding Show’ that was held at Highbury Hall in February. This was an elegant mixture of beautiful vintage and vintage inspired wedding dresses from the likes of Jenny Packham and Elie Saab, glittery vintage ‘bling’ from companies such as Terry Terry and stunning examples of hats, fascinators and headdresses from designers like Sally Harper from The Sharper Millinery. Throw into the mix music from, flowers, cupcakes and expert wedding advice from top bridal bloggers Rock n Roll bride and Love my Dress, and you had the perfect recipe for a wonderful wedding inspired day.…

Designer Vintage Bridal Show – Oh! To be a bride…Pt 2.
The most amazing feature of Highbury Hall is the gorgeous staircase. You can just imagine brides floating down it in a sea of silk and lace on their special day. I had these thoughts in my head as I walked up the stairs, pausing dead in my tracks to admire the most fabulous dress I had ever seen. This 1920s style gold sheath is the sort of dress that tempts married women into divorce in order to get married again and WEAR THAT DRESS! “It’s Jenny Packham” I was reliably informed. I thought this would be the perfect dress for Keely Hawes to wear as Lady Agnes when ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’…

The Birmingham Designer Vintage Bridal show
This is all set to be the year of the wedding, with no less than three Royal weddings, including the much-anticipated nuptials of William and Kate. Add into the mix the rock and roll wedding of Kate Moss, and it very much seems as if getting that special piece of paper is very much in vogue. But many brides seem to be looking to the past for their wedding inspiration. Dresses that come from a bygone era, whether actual vintage, or vintage inspired, are becoming extremely popular as brides-to-be seek that perfect look that reflects their own, unique personality. Transportation on the big day is no longer just a Rolls…
