Evans – The Lace Edit
With the exception of the white variety, which I associate with weddings, I somehow seem to think of lace as a winter trend. But this season, Evans is showing that the delicate fabric is actually a perfect choice for that strange, transitional period between Winter and Spring. Lace is a versatile fabric. In black and dark shades it looks decidedly gothic, but the nature of the fabric is delicate and light, therefore giving it a softer feel. Duchess Kate rocks a wrap dress
The Duchess of Cambridge made a welcome return yesterday, as the latest personal criticism, this time from Hilary Mantel and Vivienne Westwood continued to make news. Booker prize winner Mantel made a scathing attack on the Duchess, who she basically described as dead behind the eyes, whilst Vivienne Westwood contradicted the rest of the fashion press by saying that Kate did not recycle her wardrobe enough. Poor Kate remained silent in the face of both attacks, and somehow seemed all the classier for this. Kate looked tanned and healthy for the engagement, a visit to Hope House, in London.
