Kate Middleton’s wedding dress latest: Sophie Cranston of Libélula chosen as designer? – Telegraph.

Ok…get ready  for this. Rather than Amanda Burton  for Alexander McQueen, or Alice Temperley, the designer of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress may just be…Kate Middleton herself!

According to reports this weekend, Kate has designed her own dress, with a huge train, and a nod to Diana’s iconic 1981 dress, and the dress is now being made by Sophie Cranston, the designer behind Libelula.

Sophie made the beautiful black velvet coat that Kate wore to a wedding back in January.

With just 11 more days until the grand unveiling, we will just have to wait and see…

Kate Middleton’s Wedding Day Hairstyle Revealed!.

We are still in the darkabout the dress, but it seems that we may now know a little bit more about her hairstyle. Kate’s hairdresser Richard Ward has said that Kate will wear her crowning glory (excuse the pun!) down on the wedding day, saying it will be “100 percent be down and flowy.”

I think Kate’s hair is absolutely glorious, and hope this is true. Many Royal brides do opt for sweeping updoes, but I myself wore my hair long and flowing, abandoning my veil and updo on the day. I hope Kate does the same.

Royal wedding memorobilia – a guide for the fashionista

The Royal wedding is now just 18 days away, and the shops are awash with all sorts of mementoes and memorabilia to commemorate the big day. Royal wedding memorabilia has a big place in my heart – in 1981, as a little girl, I  had a Diana doll, flag, mug, Penguin book and kept every newspaper pullout I could find. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep any of this, as is often the case with these sorts of, if we’re being honest, quite tacky, souvenir.

So, I’ve decided to compile a guide to some of the more tasteful Royal souvenirs of the big day. Who knows, these may be things that you pass onto the grandkids as family heirlooms one day! (Or maybe not…)
