The Body Shop VIP event with the Bloggers Parlour
Last Thursday I popped along to The Body Shop on Birmingham’s New Street to attend my first event with the Bloggers Parlour. It was a fabulous night of beauty, games and cocktails in a beautiful store that has just been refurbished and looks, quite frankly, amazing.
The Bloggers Parlour organise blogger events in the Midlands, trying to offer something a little different in terms of activities and opportunuties. Social media plays a big part of the events, with lots of opportunities to win spot prizes through sharing photographs on Twitter and Facebook, and using the #Bloggersparlour hashtag as often as possible. There were also opportunities to be creative – choosing a wishlist of current Body Shop products and setting up a stunning photographic scenario for Instagram.
The new store really is a lovely space, and a beauty fan’s idea of heaven. It is bright and spacy, with all the different collections given their own dedicated space, so it is very easy to find your favourite products whilst discovering new ones. I like the fact that there are testers for just about everything, and that the staff are very knowledgeable about the products – they managed to find me the perfect illuminating concealer for the under eye area.
It was a beautifully warm night so cocktails were definitely most welcome. We created our own with delicious coconut liqueur, a range of fruit juices and a fizzy tropical drink. This finished product look delicious and had a really unusual flavour. We had to give our cocktails a name and I christened mine ‘Fashion-Mommy’s Ruin’.
I really enjoyed this event that offered a perfect combination of beauty and fun. A brilliant goodie bag containing favourites like body butter and hand sanitiser was a final, brilliant touch.

I can almost smell the White musk smoky rose from here! I love BodyShop’s product smell but I prefer other brand composition. Sounds like you had a great evening!
