The Duchess of Cambridge shows her Autumn style
It seems like only a minute since the Duchess of Cambridge was making us envious about her summer style, as she paraded a mouth-watering array of beautiful looks during the Royal tour of the Far East. But a few weeks is a long time in fashion, and this week has seen Kate firmly embrace Autumn style in a series of seasonal looks.
With three engagements in three days, Kate has shown some new pieces from her ever-growing wardrobe, has worn a new designer in Paula Ka, and has, of course, found time to recycle a previously seen look.
Here is a rundown of Kate’s latest looks, with a few idea on how you can get a similar look.
Look 1 – Paula Ka suit
A new designer for Kate, the Paula Ka suit was a departure from Kate’s coat dresses with a shorter, skater style skirt. Utilising one of this season’s hot colours, maroon, the suit, with its nipped in waisted jacket and slightly tiered styled skirt, showcased Kate’s tiny waist and long legs to perfection. Some have criticised the shortness of the skirt, but Kate is only 30 and the skirt is hardly a micro mini, so I personally think the critics have been a little harsh.

Look 2 – Reiss
Tuesday saw William and Kate attend the opening of St George’s Park in Staffordshire. Kate bought out a favourite coat, the Reiss Angel Fit and Flare coat that was from 2010. This coat is apparently grey, although on almost every picture I have seen it looks green! The coat was teamed with a great Reiss belt, also from previous seasons.
I adore this coat, it is another 1950s style with a full skirt, and I love the unusual upturned collar detail that I think adds interest to this look. There are lots of really elegant and luxurious coats around this season, Reiss again has some beautiful looks, whilst George at Asda has some amazingly purse friendly coats that have bags of style for less than £30.

Look 3 – British unidentified designer
Kate made a solo trip to Newcastle yesterday, and found another old favourite from her wardrobe for the visit. The plum coat was first worn on Christmas day last year, and looked great belted with an Alexander McQueen belt. Kate also teamed the dress with stretchy boots from Aquatalia. These cost more than £300 from Bergdorf Goodman, but you can get a similar look from M&S for just £35. (I buy these stretchy boots every year and would highly recommend them).
