Vertbaudet’s Festive Favourites
Festive dressing is a whole lot of fun, it is the one time of the year when you can really go to town with your outfit, dressing as glamorous and sparkling as you want without anyone batting an eye-lid. But what about if you happen to be pregnant at Christmas. You still want to look your best, but also need to be comfortable and practical. This is maybe the one time in your pregnancy that you want to wear something other than those maternity jeans that you have lived in. Vertbaudet has kept this in mind and created a lovely collection of clothes and accessories that will allow you all the style, with all the comfort this year.
When I was pregnant with Joe, I found dresses in jersey fabric to be comfortable, but they also worked in that they meant I didn’t have to give up my usual style. Pregnancy shouldn’t mean shrouding yourself in smocks or velour jogging bottoms – if this wasn’t something you’d wear before you were pregnant, why wear it during? Vertbaudet has some really gorgeous dresses that are so versatile they could easily be worn for either daytime wear, or for an evening out. By adding accessories – you can change the look of these key pieces, and get quite a few different looks from them.
Here are a few key ideas from Vertbaudet for wearing over the Christmas period and beyond.
The perfect black dress
I love the simple style of this little black dress. I would add a little red or mustard cardigan for daytime wear, with shoe boots and long silver chains and jangling bangles for an evening look.
The stripe trousers
These trousers are just so smart, with a silk stripe running down the side, tuxedo style. The pretty white blouse would look great with them, and I would also add a pre-pregnancy tuxedo jacket or blazer for that shrunken feel. Add a red silk scarf for a splash of colour.
The Skinny Jeans
Maternity jeans needn’t mean baggy and boyfriend styles. These skinnies will be great when you hit the Christmas sales, and adding the gorgeous raspberry pink top keeps the look fresh and bright. Add a snood scarf and a cute beanie hat and you will be good to go!
The jumper dress
It may be cold outside, but when you’re wearing this dress it will feel like Spring. A knitted dress can be layered with a cardigan and scarf, or worn over leggings, but you can also wear this with tights and heels for a dressier look. You could also change the look but wearing a thicker belt higher up the dress to create an empire line.
