Welcome to the World Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

I spent another bank holiday weekend in Wales, but I was so excited when I woke up on Saturday morning to find that Duchess Kate had had her baby, and that we now had a little princess. Today we found out that the baby had been called Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, and I don’t think I will be the only one really pleased that the baby’s name contains a tribute to her beautiful grandmother Princess Diana.

Kate left hospital fairly quickly on Saturday and looked wonderful after giving birth just that morning. Unlike the birth of George, when Kate left hospital on a gloriously sunny day, the weather was pretty chilly, so the photo opportunity was short and sweet. I have to say though, that I loved the fact that Kate had opted for a lovely yellow floral print dress from Jenny Packham. My post on Friday had been about how much I love yellow as a colour, especially on days when the weather doesn’t want to play ball, and I just loveKate’s long 3/4 sleeved shift dress, which was a simple and elegant choice. (You can see my yellow post here.)
